چکیده

To retrospectively evaluate the clinical efficacy of triphasic computed tomography during arterial portography (CTAP) for a pretreatment survey of patients with suspected hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and to compare the dynamic image features of HCCs and pseudolesions during triphasic CTAP. Between May 2007 and September 2010, 129 patients with known or suspected HCC underwent triphasic helical computed tomography (THCT) and triphasic CTAP at our institution. The HCC image characteristics and pseudolesion dynamic changes in enhancement, size, shape, and location were reviewed. The sensitivity, positive predictive rate (PPV), and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of triphasic CTAP were calculated and

Clinical usefulness of computed tomography arteriography and computed tomography during arterial portography for the diagnosis of early and early advanced hepatocellular carcinoma.

OBJECTIVE We examined the clinical usefulness of two techniques of Angio Computed tomography (CT), namely, CT arteriography (CTA) and CT during arterial portography (CTAP), for the diagnosis of early hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and early advanced HCC. MATERIALS AND METHODS The subjects were six patients with a total of seven lesions: three had one early HCC lesion each, and three had four ...

FDG-avid portal vein tumor thrombosis from hepatocellular carcinoma in contrast-enhanced FDG PET/CT

Objective(s): In this study, we aimed to describe the characteristics of portal vein tumor thrombosis (PVTT), complicating hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in contrast-enhanced FDG PET/CT scan. Methods: In this retrospective study, 9 HCC patients with FDG-avid PVTT were diagnosed by contrast-enhanced fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG PET/CT), which is a comb...

Transcatheter CT arterial portography and CT hepatic arteriography for liver tumor visualization during percutaneous ablation.

PURPOSE To evaluate the feasibility of combining transcatheter computed tomography (CT) arterial portography or transcatheter CT hepatic arteriography with percutaneous liver ablation for optimized and repeated tumor exposure. MATERIALS AND METHODS Study participants were 20 patients (13 men and 7 women; mean age, 59.4 y; range, 40-76 y) with unresectable liver-only malignancies--14 with colo...

Pseudolesions around the Gallbladder Fossa: Comparison of Frequency and Radiological Characteristics in Multiphasic CT, CTAP, and CTHA

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare the frequency with which pseudolesions around the gallbladder (GB) fossa are revealed by multiphasic CT, by CT during arterial portography (CTAP), and by CT during hepatic arteriography (CTHA) and to determine their radiological characteristics. Materials and Methods: Multiphasic CT, CTAP, and CTHA examinations of 81 patients without pathology of...

Hepatic adenomatous hyperplasia with hyperattenuation on CT during arterial portography: a case report.

We report a 72-year-old man who was admitted to our department with multiple nodules of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in a cirrhotic liver because of HCV infection. Unlike most of the nodules, one in segment 2 (S2) showed hypoattenuation on computed tomography (CT) during hepatic arteriography (CTA), and hyperattenuation on CT during arterial portography (CTAP). Fine needle aspiration biopsy o...
